APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

HFPA VOTING MEMBER

Voting Members shall include any person, firm, or corporation in good standing engaged wholly or in part in:

  1. Manufacturing and/or marketing for window, bedding, bath, table linens, kitchen textiles, floor and wall coverings and allied products and accessories.
  2. Converting and/or marketing fabrics, linings, trimmings and/or other component materials for window, bedding, bath, table linens, kitchen textiles, floor and wall coverings and allied products and accessories.
  3. Supplying materials, services and/or equipment used in the production and/or marketing of home fashions for window, bedding, bath, table linens, kitchen textiles, floor and wall coverings and allied products and accessories.

A separate membership shall be required for each division and/or subsidiary of a corporation.

HFPA membership is a valuable resource for manufacturers, importers, converters, suppliers and those allied to the trade. As a member of the HFPA, your company benefits from key services and programs:

  • Participation in the HFPA Legal Services Program, allowing members discounted hourly fees for many industry issues including government rules and regulations, intellectual property rights, and import (including safeguards and quotas) and export advice

HFPA ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Associate Membership shall be granted to any person, firm or corporation in good standing deemed to be providing services to the home fashion industry, but not meeting the eligibility requirements of voting membership in this association. All questions of eligibility shall be determined by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall review from time to time the service provided to the industry and determine if associate membership is permitted n the association.

As an HFPA Associate Member, you gain important access to resources and contacts in the home textiles industry, such as manufacturers, importers, converters, suppliers, other HFPA members and affiliates, and our extensive trade networks. Your company benefits from key services and programs:

  • Access to HFPA partners and textiles organizations related to the HFPA membership

  • Your company listing and web link on the HFPA Web site alongside other key HFPA supporters

AMERICAN DOWN & FEATHER COUNCIL (ADFC)
VOTING MEMBERSHIP

The American Down and Feather Council ("ADFC") welcomes dealers, processors and manufacturers, of feathers and down used in home fashion products. Members of the ADFC work together to further the common interest of the natural fill products industry, and to maintain and improve the quality of the products in the industry through labeling compliance. All ADFC members are members of the HFPA and therefore receive all the benefits of HFPA alongside the extensive membership benefits received as a member of ADFC. Your company benefits include:

  • Your Voice in the Industry: Contribute to the standards and requirements in your Industry. Attend membership meetings and vote on critical topics. ADFC advocates your association position before government agencies on important issues such as bedding flammability, product safety, labeling of imported and exported products, and copyright. ADFC programs are developed with the cooperation of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and International Association of Bedding and Furniture Law Officials (IABFLO). As a voice of the industry, ADFC members also work in collaboration with other key organizations, such the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the Textile Home Furnishings Coalition.
  • Participation in the ADFC Labeling Compliance Program (LCP): The Labeling Compliance Program helps assure that all ADFC members and non-members are in compliance with industry standards, and that all representations and claims made on the product, on the packaging, and in advertising are truthful and in accordance with commonly accepted industry standards and the Law. The Labeling Compliance Program gives customers, retailers, and the industry itself, confidence in the integrity of the industry and the quality of feather and down filled products.
  • Participation in the ADFC Marketing Program: ADFC promotes your company as an ADFC member to a wide range of trade and consumer media, and develops public relations programs highlighting ADFC as the premier association for the down & feather industry
  • Access to the ADFC Seal of Approval: The ADFC's Seal of Approval signifies that down and feather products meet all industry standards and are labeled accurately. Using the Seal of Approval on your company collateral and packaging indicates that you are a participating member of the ADFC.
  • Membership of the International Down & Feather Bureau (IDFB): The IDFB is a worldwide association for the Down and Feather Industry, Down and Feather Trade and Testing Institutes for Down and Feathers. Membership to the IDFB provides your company access to guaranteed worldwide testing methods, assessments of independent testing institutes, maintenance of international test and quality standards, and international membership meetings. ADFC welcomes Associate Members such as: manufacturers, importers, converters, suppliers and those allied to the trade. Associate Members comprise any person, firm, or corporation in good standing engaged wholly or in part in the supply of services and/or equipment to support the home fashions industry, specifically in relation to the mission of HFPA-ADFC. All ADFC Associate Members are also Associate Members of, and enjoy the benefits of, HFPA.

As an Associate Member of ADFC, your company benefits from key services, programs, and opportunities:
