The Home Fashions Product Association (HFPA) and HTT are collaborating to co-host an event at the Harvard Club of New York City on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
The HFPA Foundation aims to raise funds for its scholarship program, which supports students enrolled in surface design or home product marketing courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Thomas Jefferson University.
HTT is celebrating its annual Home Excellence Awards in an in-person format. The awards will recognize two retail and two supplier companies. Previous recipients of this honor include Bloomingdale’s, Big Lots, Boll & Branch, Casper, Malouf, Revman, Trident, Pegasus, Wayfair, Welspun, and WestPoint Home.
The event will be a lively two-hour evening affair featuring cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, an introduction to TJU and FIT’s home fashions program students, and the presentation of HTT’s 2024 Home Excellence awardees.
All proceeds from ticket sales will contribute to the HFPA Foundation’s scholarship program.

2024 Home Excellence Awards Recipients
Evan has been awarded the Home Excellence Award for a company allied to the home textiles industry for its support of or impact on the soft home industry. His exceptional efforts in helping dozens of former 295 Fifth Avenue tenants relocate to new spaces along 5th Avenue after the conversion of the former Textiles Building into a luxury office space have been instrumental.
Lance is President/CEO of the company. Blake is EVP of the company and President of its AmeriFill division. The award acknowledges American Textile Company’s vision and culture of innovation. “We never stand still,” said Lance Ruttenberg, President and CEO. Those simple words describe a culture that will drive continued growth of the business, the people, and the community efforts of American Textile Company.
Cynthia began her career with the home improvement giant as a sales associate and steadily moved up the ladder at the store level. She became a merchant at the company’s Exo Design Center, then moved into a similar role at the parent company. Her concentration as a merchant has focused on flooring and related services; she also has overseen merchandising for custom window, décor and paint.
Indo Count is presented with the award for a home textiles supplier or manufacturer demonstrating excellence in expanding their business. They were the 4th largest supplier to the U.S. market in 2023 with an estimated volume of $504 million. Indo Count Industries originally planted its flag in North America as a go-to source for sheets. In the years since, it has grown both organically by expanding into new product categories as well as through acquisition.
