The July 1, 2026 registration deadline for California’s Responsible Textile Recovery Act (SB 707) is fast approaching, and companies selling covered textile products into California should take action now. To comply, covered producers must register with Landbell USA, California’s designated Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO), by July 1. Registration currently includes a $1,000 annual administrative fee and is required for companies meeting the law’s revenue threshold.
While the program’s long-term implementation will continue to evolve over the coming years, the registration requirement is in effect now. Companies that fail to register by the deadline may be subject to enforcement actions and penalties under California law. HFPA encourages members to review their obligations and complete registration by the July 1 deadline.
