On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 5:30-7:30 PM EDT, the HFPA Foundation will hold its annual Scholarship Fundraiser and Home Textiles Today’s Home Fashion Excellence Awards at the Harvard Club in New York City. This will be the fourth year for the HFPA Foundation and Home Textiles Today collaboration.
The purpose of the gala event, held in conjunction with fall NY home textiles market, is to celebrate and award individuals and organizations’ achievements and innovation and to support students and programs of the Fashion Institute of Technology and Thomas Jefferson University.
In 2024 the gala recognized Evan Margolin, JLL, American Textiles Company, Cynthia Castillo of The Home Depot and Indo Count. The Foundation awarded $50,000 in total to FIT and TJU for individual students studying home products development and textile/surface design as well as school educational programs.
Announcements of the 2025 honorees will begin over the Summer. The Annual Scholarship Fundraiser and Awards Gala is made possible by Platinum Sponsors, ProTecht and Supima.

About the Home Fashion Products Association Foundation: The HFPA Foundation was founded in 1996 to help foster the future of the home textiles industry. The Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing a career in the home fashion products industry. Currently, the Foundation awards scholarships to students enrolled in surface design or home product marketing courses of study at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Thomas Jefferson University. Since its inception, over 300 students have benefitted from the Foundation funding scholarships or special programming of FIT and TJU.
